I have a pit-bull stratford terrier and his son which is mixed with boxer. When the full pit was a German Shepherd Puppy he was crazy and would play around and end up nipping and biteing what we did was when that happen we would just stop, stop doing whatever we were doing with him and said no with a straight face and he would stop. The German Shepherd Puppy that we have now started doing it and we did the same thing he dosen’t do it anymore
Hope it works

You can either hire someone to take care of her, or, depending on where you work, take her along with you.
That’s really something you should have thought through completely before getting a dog…

I’m interested in putting my puppy in Dog Day care, but will it hurt his housebreaking?
Posted by: | CommentsQuestion by puff: I’m interested in putting my puppy in Dog Day care, but will it hurt his housebreaking?
I don’t want him to be able to just go to the bathroom everywhere at the German Shepherd day care and then come home and do that in the house, what do you think? He’s 10 weeks old.
The German Shepherds at these places are required to have had their shots, is there still that much of a risk?

Your pup shouldn’t be exposed to any other German Shepherds, other than your own, until it’s had it’s complete round of vaccinations.

what is the best dog training book to read for an apbt puppy?
Posted by: | CommentsQuestion by serrsly: what is the best German Shepherd training book to read for an apbt German Shepherd Puppy?
i recently ordered pit bulls for dummies, and will soon acquire a copy of German Shepherd training for dummies.
the lady that lives downstairs from me gave me a book titled ‘Smarter than you Think’ and it tells you to throw things at your German Shepherd to teach it to come, and to stick a match in its butt to poop, and not trust German Shepherd food companies, and all this weird stuff, not too sure about that book.
any other suggestions? or tips?

He wants to be with you. You can’t let him sleep inside in a crate?

Question by sheshe: Is there any special care needed for grooming a white minature schnauzer puppy?

Answer by Lambomc
you can use any German Shepherd shampoo or conditioner. Don’t use baby shampoo or any human shampoo, it is not ph balanced for a German Shepherds skin and can dry it out. You should talk him to the groomer every 4-6 weeks. Make sure you brush him everyday, even though he has wirey hair it can still get matted.

I recently got my first puppy. How often do I need to (gag) clean his anal glands? (insert vomit noise here). It just dawned on me this morning that I would at some point have to do that. Thanks for your help.

Unless they are a problem, don’t touch them.
I never have to do my German Shepherds’ glands.
