@FreedomWorkShop u have no idea what you are talking about.. first learn about about dogs than speak .. its all about the owner and what he has done to a dog.
I got attacked by a German Shepherd when I was 10.. mongrel thing. I still have a scar in my belly, leg and eye. They are good guard dogs, but hey are nit family dogs and should never be trusted. If they want to they’ll tear someone or something in half. I would never let that little dog play with him like that. It’s all fun and games until for some unexpected reason it grabs a hold of its head and ferociously shakes it or mauls it until it is dead. You can NOT trust these dogs!
Thanks for the memories! I had a shephard that I grew up with named Duke. He was VERY protective of the family. If company came by that he didn’t know dad would have to put him upstairs in him and moms room. If someone knocked on the door his teeth were ready! We had to put him down in 1985 his hips had bad arthritis and he was in pain. Believe or not he lived 16 years which is outstanding for a shephard. their an excellent choice and a very loyal dog.
Yeh my great auntie and uncle have 2 GS, one of them is a black GS and is very shy and likes to lie under your legs, the other is attention seeking and snaps her teeth or yelps if you don’t play with her, not meaning anything bad. But this guy came to visit my auntie and he had a hoody on and the GS pounced on him pinning him to the wall, but she backed off when told so. She is very protective, but the boy isn’t (black one) the other is brown and black like most GS.
He obviosly didn’t sense real harm. GS are so sweet, I used to ride my sitter’s like a horse and pull his ears and he never once snapped at me. But I have seen them in real action and they are bad ass dogs, when need be!
Hell yes… but once they get to know someone they will back off.
I live on a farm and once a guy brought his Shih tzu over… My GSD was not on leash and it was sorta unexpected… that other dog didnt stop shaking for a couple of hours lol.
I have found that to be the case…once they accept someone, either person or animal, as part of their pack they are protective….but very sweet once they accept someone….the GSD and Morkie in this video are best of friends.
Nice Video. Take a look at my channel to see my German Shepherd Biting the LawnMower
