That poor dog is so wobbly in the back he can barely get around. These “breeders” cause so much pain for their own gain in my opinion they are on the same level with people like Michael Vick.
If you beat a dog with a stick and caused him as much pain as this deformity does you would get arrested but… It seems OK as long as the dog is born with a deformity which causes pain for life.
Absolutely disgusting.
I grew up in Germany as a child and saw the REAL GSD with a straight back. GREAT dogs!

wtf have thease people done to thease dogs!!!! If my GSD started walking like that i rush him to the vet, thease people have to be sick in the head to think this is ok, the dogs look like their having trouble just walking!
most of these german shepherd arn’t true to original. these show ones have been inbred and screwed up. terrible.

CLEAN UP the KENNEL CLUB! and CLEAN UP THE SHOW FOLKS TOO BREEDING DEFECTIVE DOGS!! They are in bed with show folks and yes its correct its all down to the money!! and their individul status they hold onto tightly that they earn and then turn their heads to all the health issues and endless problems they have caused and the continued suffering of many breeds over the last many years!

Yes this is a shamfull display. for these show folks the only thing that matters is being put up to place and win. they will continure to breed the same way to produce the same defective looking or dieseased dog as long as it wins in the ring for them. The winning look is what they want to acheive to get that trophy. by hook or crook & to hell with healthy or correct breeding. they breed to breed standard in any one of the breeds and who dictates and describes this>? Its the kennel club. !!

phew i was afraid that i was going to be the only one who thought this poor dog looks more like a hyena than a german shepherd. We can do so much better for our friends and guardians.

GERMAN SHEPHERDS have been bred to walk bung…because they don’t care about hip score etc… all these ASSHOLES care about is BREED BREED BREED.;

Bad breeding. Breeding for a certain “style” I’ve known many of these dogs to pass their ofa testing. I have one of these showlines without the extreme roached back. He has no problem running or working. If I didn’t find his breeder I would have gone for a working line.
Wow…humans like that are going to breed the GSD to death…It’s no pretty it’s DEFORMED…I love GSD’s and i would NEVER buy one like that. I watch the dog show every Saturday and the GSD’s on the one i watch look much more normal(i live in USA)…But still it’s disturbing that people think that DEFORMITY is pretty…The poor thing can’t even walk normally…I hate the human race sometimes…The working GSD’s are much better looking.
What the heck kind of show is this!? the gaits on those dogs are horrible! I have seen better than this in the AKC.
its okay to have a little easy leaned back but thoes dogs ca=ouldnt walk right its a shame they look hidious and i would most defenatly shot all the breaders who made this thing hapopend they are stupid and deserve no mercy for what theived done to this magnificent dog
What a hideous monstrosity, are these people insane!
Normally I would stay out of these debates but, just wanted to poke in here for a moment. I noticed also that these dogs do not “single track” in the the back, which I thought (could be wrong) is something they’re supposed to do while gaiting. Also, yes, the angles of their hocks do make them look weak at a standstill. I’m not a fan of overangulation, however JM is right, the angles have never been proven to increase HD in these dogs. HD has more to do with genetics than “form”.
All you people clearly are idiots and know nothing about the breed. I happened to see a lot of rear drive from these dogs. Yes, the shape of the breed has changed and for the better I believe. You cannot say that the straight back sheps are better looking, surely. And so put to bed another myth the angulation of the croup does NOT cause hip dysplasia. If anything it has been bred out in the top breeds. Also, it does not shorten their lives. Stupid people. Study up, go to shows, talk to owners
The breeders should be ashamed, it is animal cruelty, there is no strength in the hind quarters they have cow hocks and roach backs. They are breeding in deformaties. If the old saying is true “what goes around comes around” soon they will not have a breed to show, its just a shame the dog has to suffer due to their blindness.
It is such a shame to see what poor breeding for ‘breed standard’ has done to the German Shepherd Dog.
The dog/s in the video are not fit for the original purpose of the breed. They should be able to move around properly and have a near straight back IMO. I doubt this dog could run; even off leash.
I think the police dogs we see hear in the UK are probably some of the best examples of ‘proper’ GSDs.
