i think german shepherds are great dogs i have a 7 month gs, she has a lot of energy so i walk her and play with her. I dont know if its just me but it seems that gsd never run out of energy. i have learned a lot from watching these videos, my gs is well trained and gl to all of you people trying to train your dogs
MestizaMamita…..Its difficult to work and to be a pet owner. The key is exercise. As far as your dogs health theres a lady on here..I have her favorited. I beleive her screename is TotalGermanShepherds, her name is Deb and she can probably give you a better idea of your dogs health. If you are concerned dont hesitate and take your pup to your vet. Could be parvo or something worse. Good Luck and let us know how things went (Check my vid to see my GSD)
@MestizaMamita so hows your dog doing ????
:O oh no you’re kidding
(( all the best with the treatment.
Thank u for everything but now i’m even MORE worried & it’s all bad bc she has distemper !! =( omg I knew it had to be something worse.. =/
@MestizaMamita i just got a german shepherd pup who is nearly 8 weeks old and he’s pretty much the same u explained urs to be. the vet said that its normal for them to sleep a lot [which was a relief as it worried me also]. i manage to get him up and playing by rolling and bouncing a tennis ball around him until he tries to pounce on it, then i take it away and so on and so on. also one of those toys where u put the snack in side is also really good.
wow this is long. gl.
Yea but she’s only 2 months and they say she can’t be out really walking around until 4 months when she’s had most of her shots. ..what am I suppose 2 do with her in the meantime? ..She sleeps a whole lot. ..but is real mellow like not really active when I play with her or she plays with her toys.. ..I started getn worried that maybe somethings wrong with her?
MestizaMamita
Take her for rides, walks, beaches, and special stuff.
ok thanks ^^
they have 4 dogs.
I am 16 about to turn 17
..But I’m worried I’m not spending enough time with her even though I know it’s not possible to spend my whole day with her cuz I mean, that’s life.. can someone offer VALUABLE advice please??
Hey I got a 2 & a half month old gs and she’s really shy and always wants to follow me. What should I be doing to help her know that I’m not abandoning her when I’m gone for a few hours every morning to school? ..She’s already learned to go to sleep inside the dogrun in my house and to stay outside in her home when I’m gone without whining.
@jgrider234 Let me know, my dog is good. i’m only asking $150 and she is spayed w/ all her shots.
I dont like to class a dog as a pet, i think they are companions or friends in a way. Youve got to give them lots of love and attention and they will be you most loyal companion in the world, far more loyal than any human. Dogs such as the german shepard are also very protective of their owner and they will always defend you if they sense you are in a fight or flight situation. This is why i dont think dogs such be classed a a pet.
actually, i never said anything about manipulation. And kick? Why do you make no sense?
you want tips on manipulating your parents. fuck off kick
hi eric!
I hope you read my comment.. I have a belgian shepherd (groenandael) and I saw you haven’t any video on that breed. Could please upload something related to the belgian shep? My dog maya is becoming over-protective on the street only with strange people, never with other animals (even cats, she love’s them). I need to Know how to control her impulses, cause she is a somewhat nervous dog but extremely friendly with the people she knows.
thank you for all the teachings you give us.
thanks^^
ok go for it… good luck with your new dog, and just be prepared to pay at least $1000 in vet bills during the first months. Also, food costs are quite high. If you need any help, just email me.
well there are 4 dogs, but none of them are mine and it is kind of hard to bond with them, they always try to bite. My parents say they don’t want to take them to agression rehab. I even offered to pay for every thing. I can already afford the supplies. All i need is the dog. I am adopting one from a shelter.
@jgrider234 Well if you have a lot of dogs now, give them your attention now. You can get a GSD when your older. I have two dogs, and they both get a good amount of time with me. I can’t imagine having more.
I really want a german shepherd, but what if my parents say, “We don’t need anymore dogs.” I got my mom to say yes, but my dad keeps saying “We’re not getting anymore dogs” What should i do?
Oh, pardon the spelling errors. I’m rather tired right now and don’t feel like changing them
you TRAIN a dog to not bark at the door, you TRAIN a dog to not jump on guests, and you TRAIN a dog to listen to you. My dog see’s me as a leader, if you want, because I have taught her what is ecceptable, and respects that. That’s how we have such a nice relationship
They see us as people who give them good things, and that’s why they respect us. They FEAR us when we try to be dogs when we obviously aren’t, because we might do something horridly wrong, and the dogs react in FEAR by submitting, or biting and resisting. A confidant dog who isn’t dominated by an unconfidant human won’t have behavior issues, and will even share the same food bowl as another dog. Yes, training is the key to having a well behaived dog, you train a dog not to jump on people
