AKC does not register the APBT it registers the at one time same dog the AST , But UKC registers both APBT and AST because after a few (by this a mean a lot) of years of breeding they became different in some ways like the AST bones are bigger and instead of a max weight of only 60 pound they get to a weight of 67 pounds not to mention that the AST does not have a bad reputation that the APBT has (lol yes you just proved my point the lighter the dog the faster they are )
