  2. new2clickertraing says:

why dont you use clicker training so you dont have to cut off his air supply. seems mean.

  3. Jensine2000018023 says:

Is it true that if you use a harness that it dosent really prepare them for a collar is that true?

  5. JBlade007 says:

i had my gsd pup leash trained at 2months but then again in the real world we go out of our back yard to train

  6. lambonspit says:

because i go to a specialist GSD club which has taught me to use the slip collar for corrections. Its working and Sam is almost perfectly trained now. Why should i change when it causes no discomfort or pain and it works?

  7. 390052Knight says:

why don’t you use a No-Pull harness instead of a chain collar… instead of cutting off his air supply you could teach him that to pull will render his front legs powerless with insufficient strength in his back legs?

  8. obaidish says:

i have 6 month old gsd what i have to do for training.

  20. winday191 says:

Hi! You’ve got a beautiful, very well trained shepherd, well done!

However, actually, the point of the slip chain is NOT to cut of the air supply, it is suppossed to be used to give corrections when the dog does something wrong. They should never be used to choke your dog or give him any prolonged discomfort. Many people think that slip chain are for choking the dog and end up using them wrong. They are noot for choking or hurting dogs, they are there to make it easier to give corrections.
