You should start training them the moment they are taken home. It’s never too early. How long it takes will depend on how consistent and patient you are with training. It could take a couple of weeks, or it could take several months. A good method is crate training. It teaches them bladder control. Look this up, it works well but it needs to be done correctly.

Start Now. Some people might go simple, starting out with weewee mats. ( Purchase at any pet store ). Me myself, started off by just taking her outside. If she did her buisness on the floor, we would yell at her untill she finally stopped. This didn’t take too long, and we’ve had barely any accidents since. This might be different for a boy dog, because they have a tendency to pee on almost anything. So, you might want to try setting up peepee rocks or stones outside, just to start off. Get your dog to know that under no circumstances they can go in the house. :]
    Good luck ;D

You need to be consistent, persistent, patient, and loving to the puppy while house breaking. Well, you need to be those things all the time, not only while you’re house breaking, How long it takes depends on a lot of different factors such as breed, size, and age. Bichon Frises, for example, are notoriously hard to house break.

different breeds take different times – a small terrier probably very quickly, a weeinie dog takes a long time. watch your puppy when inside and take him outside often and give lots of praise when he makes a package or tinkle. it helps to have a name for it so your puppy recognizes what you want – I tell my dog “finish up” cause she will tinkle but the rest of it she takes her sweet time with and she knows what I expect and usually produces :-) patience, it’ll happen – in the meantime never leave pup alone inside unless he’s in a crate.

it only took my puppy being at my house for 2 weeks and he was trained. He never really had many accidents but know he never does. Ive had him for 2 months and its been 6 weeks since he has had an accident.
